The Academic Year Begins!

Success in Music leads to success in life!

Summer is just about over, and next week begins the new academic year.

I am teaching private clarinet lessons at my Home Studio in Sharon and at Concord Conservatory. Several students will be preparing for the upcoming District auditions this fall and I will be organizing a small ensemble of students to perform at a local senior residence. I will also be teaching a clarinet ensemble at Concord Conservatory. This is a great opportunity for students to meet other players and expand on what is learned in private lessons while playing fun and engaging music. I have openings in both studios for children and adults - all levels are welcome.

In addition to teaching clarinet, I am also the Director of the Canton American Legion Community Band. We have had an exciting year learning a lot of new music, performing several concerts, and marching in parades in many communities in Massachusetts and Rhode Island! The highlight of this year has been our concert series "The Centennial of the World War One Armistice - Reflections Through Music". We have presented this program in Foxboro, Mansfield and Canton, and will be presenting it a 4th time in Easton on September 20th. The concert features a wide variety of music that was popular during the WWI era, and the program is narrated by historian Patrick Leehey who provides historical significance of each piece, along with projected illustrations of period images. The Canton American Legion Community welcomes new members: adults and high school students, all band instruments. Contact me for more info. It’s a fun group!

In early November, I will be having my annual Practice Audition Class for all students auditioning for Junior/Senior District and All State. My annual Studio Recital will be in June. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to perform for their peers, family and friends in a relaxed, supportive environment. See my web site for information on the Practice Audition Class and Studio Recital.

Carnegie Hall Performance

I offer many other opportunities for performance, competitions and chamber ensembles. See the Student Accomplishment page of my web site to learn about the great things my students have been doing.

I welcome new Clarinet students, and your referrals are always appreciated. If you refer a student who registers for a semester of lessons, you will receive one Free Lesson!
