Two clarinet students were accepted by competitive audition to the MMEA Eastern Junior District Ensembles. Evvy S. was accepted to the Junior Eastern District Band and Claire J. was accepted to the Junior Eastern District Orchestra.

Both students study with me at Concord Conservatory of Music.
The audition requirements include a prepared piece, scales and sight reading. About 50% of those who audition are accepted to participate in the District Music Festival. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to perform with a high-level large ensemble.

Four students auditioned for and were accepted to the Southeast Junior District ensembles. David was accepted to the orchestra, Elena, Sanjana and Chloe were accepted to the band. The audition piece was the Bassi Nocturne from the Concert and Contest collection. The audition was Dec 7th, 2019 and the festival is March 13-14, 2020. Congratulations to all!

Studio Recital - Clarinet Ensemble

Six students performed in a clarinet ensemble June 17, 2017. The program included:
Londonderry Aire, Norwegian Dance by Grieg, Funeral March for a Marionette by Gounod, Caprice for Clarinets by Grundman, and Menuet from Trio No. 1 by Bouffil. The students enjoyed playing together in a group and the parents enjoyed listening.

Congratulations to the following students: Matthew and Zoe were both accepted to their Senior District Bands. Evan and Samyuktha were both accepted to their Junior District Band, with Evan winning 1st chair clarinet. Evan was also accepted to the Senior SEMSBA band, and Samyuktha was accepted to the Junior SEMSBA band - winning 1st clarinet, 2nd chair and a scholarship for summer lessons. Congratulations to all!
